ADVOCACY

We work closely with voluntary and independent organisations, offering a range of learning experiences to explore the challenges and rewards of advocacy, to help them develop a clear understanding of needs and to become more responsive to meeting them.

Our experience has enabled us to identify and challenge the assumptions that people make about advocacy, to explore the motivations of volunteers, reinforce understanding about national quality standards and ensure that the advocacy development journey is mutually beneficial.

We deliver research, learning design, facilitation, group coaching, offering evaluation approaches, project management and effective measurement. We ensure programmes are relevant to the type of referrals that might be received and we adapt resources to ensure full accessibility. Learning is flexible and helps participants to build their confidence in advocating for themselves at the start of a new role, work at a pace that recognises their health needs and enables them to reflect and review their developing skills and knowledge at a pace that maximises progress.
