OUR ADVOCACY EXPERTISE

  • Tailored induction programmes for newly recruited volunteer advocates.
  • Learning experiences in which we listen to the advocates so that they can listen to their advocacy partners.
  • Resource packs for volunteer advocates to work through at their own pace, by themselves or with the support of their co-ordinator when they are first recruited.
  • Peer advocacy schemes with learning tailored to volunteers working in specific areas such as drug and alcohol services, with older people, adults with learning disabilities, young adults with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries and associated learning difficulties.
  • Support for paid advocates who have a number of different roles and are typically funded through 'Supporting People'.
